Frank Kalume

Frank re-joined FCBS in 2022, having completed his master's studies at the University of Bath with distinction, was awarded the MacGregor Smith Awards and was nominated for the 3D Reid Student Prize award.



Coming from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), a country where the physical infrastructure has been devastated by war, Frank is driven by a passion and determination to build.



Prior to returning to university for his master's studies, he worked at FCBS. He was involved in a wide range of projects gaining experience in schools, libraries, higher education, student accommodation, masterplanning design projects and numerous competition entries.



Frank has also been involved with the Feilden Foundation volunteering designing schools across a few African countries as a way of giving back to the community.
